Das Peach Haus looks like an old west general store on the side of the road. It's a beautifully landscaped store, but the weathered wood gives a hint to its beginnings. Once just a stand where the Weiser family sold fresh peaches and Mom's peach preserves from their own orchard, the roadside stand grew through the years. When Mark Weiser met Case Fischer, they joined forces to create a full line of products. Today Das Peach Haus is filled with award-winning products.
Fischer and Weiser move with the times. Adding to the well-established products that they have produced since 1969 they recognized the changing needs of today's cook. With Terry Thompson-Anderson at the culinary helm, they now feature an entire line of products based on Thompson-Anderson's award-winning cookbook, Texas on the Plate.
"We've packed in everything from Pasilla chiles from the Oaxaca region of Mexico to authentic moles," they say. "And flavor as big as Texas is packed into our grilling sauces and rubs, our salsas." These products run the gamut from salad to dessert. On their shelves you'll find Texas Twang Garlic & Basil Dressing, Chipotle Chili Ketchup, the unique Cranberry Cactus Jelly. Dinner ends on a sweet note with Seeing Double Chocolat Sauce.
These products are based on recipes you can cook yourself and all are in Thompson-Anderson's book. But for those moments when taste buds demand flavor, and time is short, you have the sauces ready to use. And Fischer and Weiser give you Thompson-Anderson's recipes for using these delicious products on their web site.
