Hot Buttered Rum Recipe

Next to a blazing fire on a cold night - perfect!

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 oz. Bacardi dark rum
 

METHOD

Melt butter in a saucepan, then add brown sugar, ice cream and vanilla extract. Freeze the mixture until it reaches the consistency of ice cream.

To serve, spoon a large scoop of the mixture into 12 mugs along with one ounce of the rum per cup (or more, to taste).

Fill each mug to the brim with hot water.

Serves: 12
