Mulled Cider

 

  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
 

 

Method

Combine all ingredients in a large kettle. Bring to a boil.

Simmer for 5 minutes. Strain to remove cinnamon sticks and cloves.

Serve hot with half a (fresh) cinnamon stick in each cup, if desired.

Makes about 2 quarts.
