Bruschetta

Bruschetta is the Italian version of an open-face sandwich. This recipe is basic - now play with ingredients to your own taste.

  • 1 whole chopped tomato
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt & pepper
  • 8 slices French bread
  • 4 whole milk mozzarella singles
 

METHOD

In a bowl, mix chopped tomato, garlic, oil, basil, salt, & pepper. Place mixture evenly on each piece of bread. Place 1/2 piece of mozzarella single on each slice of bread.

Toast in toaster oven until bread is toasted and/or until cheese begins to melt.
