Grilled Bacon, Cheddar & Hot Pepper Jelly Sandwich

A salamander grill is a portable stove with an overhead heat source and functions as a broiler.

  • 4 slices sourdough bread, toasted
  • 8 tablespoons hot pepper jelly
  • 6 ounces sliced sharp cheddar
  • 1/2 pound sliced bacon, cooked
 

METHOD

Preheat salamander or broiler.

Spread one side of each bread slice with the jelly, then evenly top with the cheddar and bacon.

Transfer bread slices to a cookie sheet and broil just till the cheese melts.

Cut slices in half on the diagonal and serve immediately.
