Korean Beef Patties

  • 1 pound lean minced beef
  • 3 scallions, finely chopped , greens included
  • 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled, and finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled, crushed, and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup kimchi, rinsed & chopped (optional)
  • 1 - 2 fresh chiles, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 egg
 

Method

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together.

Lightly oil hands and shape into small patties. Do not overwork meat or the patties will be tough.

Fry or cook over charcoal, or under a grill.

Serves: 4
