Hot / Sweet Pepper Burgers


  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons jalapeno pepper (seeds and membrane removed), finely chopped
  • 2 scallions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Montreal Steak seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper


Blend well, by hand, the beef, garlic, peppers, and scallions in a mixing bowl and shape into (8) patties.

Coat grill with a little oil. Grill burgers, brushing the sauces and sprinkling the seasonings on each side of burgers while grilling.

Serve on sesame seed buns or over-sized english muffins with lettuce, tomato slices, or whatever you like.
