Betty Crocker's Hamburgers Parmigiano

Who can say no to cheese and tomato sauce!

      • 1 lb ground beef
      • 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
      • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
      • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
      • 1 jar (15.5 ounce) chunky-style tomato pasta sauce
      • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
      • 4 slices French bread, toasted, or 2 hamburger buns, split and toasted
 

Method

Mix ground beef, onion, Parmesan cheese and garlic salt.  Shape into 4 patties, each about 1/2 inch thick

Cook in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, turning frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain.

Pour sauce over patties and heat until hot.  Top each patty with 2 tablespoons mozzarella cheese.  Let stand until cheese begins to melt.

Serve on French Bread

Serves: 4
