Taco Salad

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 head lettuce, torn in pieces
  • 4 tomatoes, diced
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package taco chips
  • Salt to taste

Dressing

  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • Tabasco sauce to taste
 

METHOD

Brown onion and meat, add beans with liquid and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain juice.

Layer greens, tomatoes, meat and bean combination, cheese and chips.

Blend dressing ingredients well and pour over salad.

Toss and serve.
