Sawmill Gravy
(Milk Gravy) for Ham

 

Although this calls for one ham slice, it's enough gravy for 2 - 3 good sized slices.

  • 1 large country ham slice, about 1/2 inch thick
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

 

METHOD

After frying meat, leave about 2 or 3 tablespoons of grease in pan from the drippings. Over medium heat,stirring with a whisk, sprinkle in flour. Stir until very lightly browned.

Whisk in milk, and season with salt and pepper. Stir until thickened.

Serves: 2
