METHOD
Mix together in a 4-quart
bowl and cook in the microwave on high for about 12 minutes, depending
on the microwave and the desired consistency. (This gives me time to shave
and shower.)
Stir and serve. I like
it with a little raw sugar or honey, some slivered almonds, and skim milk.
My wife likes it plain or with slivered almonds. If you make too much,
put the excess in the refrigerator and heat it up for breakfast the next
morning -- or the morning after that.
I keep several pounds
of quinoa in the refrigerator along with the open can of McCann's steel-cut
oats.
