METHOD
Preheat oven to 450 °F.
Mix together egg, flour, baking powder salt, sugar, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and chopped apples.
Stir just to a lumpy batter.
Melt butter in a 10" iron skillet--pour batter into skillet and arrange apple spirals on top.
Bake for 15 minutes in preheated 450 °F. Reduce temp to 350 and continue baking for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Sprinkle
brown sugar on top, slice into wedges and serve with warm syrup.
