Chinese Chicken Wings

The Chinese were cooking chicken wings long before we thought of using them.

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup plum sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard

 

 

METHOD

Cut tips of wings off and save for another use. 

In a bowl large enough to hold the wings, combine plum sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil and mustard and whisk to combine.  Marinate wings in mix for 1 hour (or more). 

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Place wings in a single layer on a baking sheet. Reserve the marindade to baste during cookign.  Bake 15-20 minutes in preheated 400°F oven, basting frequently.

Serves: 6 - 8 as part of buffet
