Barbecued Chicken Wings

This is classic for the Super bowl, for casual get-together's with friends.

  • 4 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon spicy paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 thinly sliced scallions
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Bottle Red Pepper Sauce if you want heat (added on plate)

METHOD

Rinse and pat dry chicken wings and place in zip-lock storage bags-gallon size.

To make marinade, combine all other ingredients in bowl and mix well.

Place marinade in zip log bag  with chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes, in the refrigerator.

When ready to cook, remove chicken from bag, and sprinkle wings with salt and pepper.

Over a hot grill, cook chicken wings for 25 minutes, turning one time. Baste with marinade as wings cook.

Serves: A crowd, 8 - 10 as part of buffet
