Braunsweiger Liverwurst Spread

 

This is a fabulous spread and one of its virtues is that it can be made ahead. 

  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb braunsweiger liverwurst
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese-softened room temp
  • 1 tablespoon grated onion
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Worchesteshire sauce

 

 

METHOD

Mix together liverwurst and cream cheese together.  Combine well.  Add onion lemon juice and Worchesteshire suce and mis well.

Place in bowl with lid. Serve or you may freeze for later use.

Serve on crackers of your choice or on crusty slices of French or Italian bread.

Yield: about 4 cups
