Nobu Matsuhisa's Parmesan Baked Small Scallops

The rich flavor of the scallops is heightened by the addition of Parmesan and soy sauce in this fuss-free dish." from Bob Greene's "The Best Life Diet Cookbook"

      • 16 ounces bay scallops
      • 1/2 ounce butter
      • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
      • 1 teaspoon grated garlic
      • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
      • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan
      • 1 lemon, sliced into thin round slices
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 400°F.  Divide the scallops evenly between 4 small baking dishes, placing the scallops in a single layer.

On each scallop, place a tiny bit of butter, a drop of soy sauce, a little grated garlic, chopped parsley, and a little Parmesan.

Bake in the oven for 5 minutes.  Serve hot with lemon slices.
