Syllabub

 

This is a recipe for syllabub for those who do not have a cow handy. To find out why - read our article on syllabub. click here

 

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sherry wine
  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • Grated rind of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/ 1/2 cups heavy cream

 

 

METHOD

In a food processor mix together sugar, sherry, brandy, grated lemon rind and vanilla. Process until sugar dissolves.

Add heavy cream. Beat until mixture thickens. Pour into glasses and chill in refrigerator for 3 - 4 hours.

Serves: 4
