Food Processor Pie Crust

"As my mother aged, she learned to simplify preparation of noodles and pastry without sacrificing quality.  Preparing these homemade delicacies has never been easier than using a food processor." Linda Witty Follis

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 5 tablespoons cold water

METHOD

Combine flour salt and oil in food processor.  Gradually add up to 5 tablespoons ice cold water. Do not put in all at once as you may not need the full 5 tablespoons.

Divide dough into two equal balls and chill.

Roll between two pieces of wax paper, then place in pie pans and prepare edges.

Edges remain in place better if crust is frozen before placing in oven.

Yield: 2 nine-inch crusts
