Ray's Overnight Meringues

This is one of the essays written as a school project in the Nassakeag Elementary School. Part of a an study on immigration and heritage, the students outdid themselves and raised money for the hungry. Please read from our kitchen to theirs. Each recipe is presented as written by the students. We commend each one for their excellence.

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

 

 

METHOD

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix egg whites and salt until foamy. Mix in sugar gradually, beating until stiff. Fold in the chips.

Line a pan with a brown paper bag or cooking parchment.

Drop cookies onto paper by the heaping teaspoon. Put into oven and TURN THE OVEN OFF

Leave there overnight or 8 hours.
