Strawberries and Yogurt

Simple, quick and healthy for those growing bones. Tip: It's simple, really. Be sure to use a lot of fruit and your yogurt will taste like cream, not like a commercial yogurt.

  • 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanillaå
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds, toasted

 

 

 

METHOD

Put yogurt in a medium sized bowl. Add vanilla and maple syrup and mix well.

Stir in 1/2 cup strawberry slices. Mash slices to release juices and tint the yogurt.

Add remainder of strawberries. Mix gently. Top with slivered almonds.

Serves 4 - 6
