Indian Rice Pakoras

You can also try a Basic Indian pakora recipe or the chicken pakoras recipe.

  • 1 cup cooked leftover Rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Jeera (cumin)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Garam masala
  • 1-1/3 cup chana flour (besan) mix with 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/3 cup fine semolina (rava)
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • Oil for frying

 

 

METHOD

Sprinkle a little water on the rice and heat it through in the microwave. Cool. When rice has cooled add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Shape into balls and deep fry.

Serves: 6 as snack or side dish
