Cranberry Grape Relish

Why not put grapes in with cranberry.  The sweet-tart flavor is wonderful with meats on the Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday table.

  • 2 cups California red seedless grapes, picked from stem and rinsed
  • 1 (12-ounce) package cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 orange, juiced and zested
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Method

This is great served alongside roast pork, turkey or ham- all the favorites for Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays.

Place all ingredients in heavy saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. When boiling, immediately reduce heat to medium, and cook stirring occasionally for 10 minutes until thick and shiny.

Let cool thoroughly, then store in airtight container in refrigerator for up to one week.

Yield: 3 cups.
