Many Spices Barbecue Sauce

  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped anaheim pepper
  • 1 or 2 chopped canned jalapenos
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon fennel seed
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
 

Method

Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender, and process/blend until smooth. Bring to low boil.  When boiling, reduce heat and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Allow to cool, then refrigerate until ready to use.
