friends and
neighbors
by Connie Weaver
Sally's
husband, Nick, and my husband, Bill, played golf together while Sally
and I waved at each other. After a while we began to socialize as couples,
and now are such good friends that we share holiday time together. We
got together for New Year's eve until last year when we did New Years
day instead. Sally has many hobbies - sewing, cooking and baking among
them. She is very health conscious and has always eaten balanced healthy
meals. She worked as a secretary many years ago. She is tall, thin and
attractive.
Sally
had a persimmon tree in her yard, and when the tree bloomed, she would
share generously with us. My husband and I loved the persimmons and planted
trees of our own. Then Sally shared recipes so we would know what to do
with them when the fruit ripened.I was
happy to return her generosity, and we discovered that we all liked similar
food, and were interested in healthy eating. We shared the recipes we
liked. Recipes for persimmons are hard to find. I'm happy for her generosity.
