United States of Arugula Seasonal Cooking Contest Recipe Official Rules

Description: This is a contest for the best recipe for a main course meal using seasonal ingredients . Contest will run until midnight December 7, 2007.

How to Enter:   No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary.  You may enter this contest by logging on to the web site at http://www.inmamaskitchen.com and by providing the recipe and all other required information over e-mail.  Submit your own, original recipe with name, address, telephone number and e-mail address.  Recipes submitted must: 1) be original - not previously published in any medium, and not having won prizes or awards in any other contest; 2) be received by contest deadline, December 7, 2007 and 3) be submitted by reply email to www.inmamaskitchen.com following given instructions.

You may enter as many times as you like, but only one entry per email. All recipes become the property of In Mamas Kitchen (IMK) and will not be returned. The contest will be judged by IMK on the basis of taste, appearance, imagination and overall culinary appeal of the recipe, as well as organization and clarity of the materials submitted. Submissions will only be judged if they fulfill all of the entry requirements for the contest.   Each of these foregoing judging criteria will be weighed equally. Decisions of judges are final in all matters relating to this contest.

IMK reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Web site; to be in violation of the Terms of Service of the Web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on Dec 7, 2007. IMK will not verify receipt of entries.

Winner Notification: Winner will be notified by email 2-4 weeks after close of the contest period. The name of prizewinner will be available on http://www.inmamaskitchen.com The winner’s name becomes available after completion of Contest. 

Prize: One winner will receive a gift of books, listed below, from Broadway Books. Nine runners-up will recieve a copy of The Untied States of Arugula.  Prize is non-transferable; no substitutions or cash redemptions except at the discretion of the sponsor. Taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Winner will receive prize within 2 weeks after notification of winning.  Approximate value of prize140.00.   Prize cannot be delivered to a P.O. address and someone must be at home to receive it.

Prize must be awarded to entrant, who must sign an affidavit of eligibility, copyright assignment and liability/publicity release. IMK is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected, or incomplete entries, or for telephone or computer malfunction or error.

Eligibility: The contest is limited to adults 18 years of age and older who are legal U.S. residents, with e-mail access. Winner's shipping address must be located in the 48 United States - we regret no Hawaii or Alaska. Street addresses must be included with all P.O. box addresses. Employees and immediate families of employees of IMK and Broadway Books and its affiliated companies, its advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible. Contest void where prohibited by law. Each entrant agrees that IMK and Broadway, its affiliates and respective agents, are not responsible or liable for any representation or guarantee, implied or expressed, beyond that which is set forth herein.

By participating in inmamaskitchen.com contest, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor and judges. which are final and binding on all matters.

All entries are subject to verification prior to awarding of prizes. In the event of a dispute about the identity of an entrant each entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Service Provider, online access provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.The winner may be required to provide proof that the winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry.

Except where prohibited by law, each entry constitutes permission for IMK to use said person's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state address in connection with this Contest on a worldwide basis, and in all forms of media, now or hereafter known, in perpetuity, including without limitation, on Sponsor's Web site, without review, permission or further compensation.  

By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees that In Mamas Kitchen shall own all entries including all recipes including all rights embodied therein.

SUCH MATERIALS SHALL BE DEEMED TO BE NON-CONFIDENTIAL AND NON-PROPRIETARY AND IMK & BB SHALL HAVE NO OBLIGATION OF ANY KIND WITH RESPECT TO SUCH MATERIALS AND SHALL BE FREE TO EDIT, EXPLOIT, MODIFY, PUBLISH, REPRODUCE, USE, DISCLOSE, DISSEMINATE AND DISTRIBUTE THE MATERIALS TO OTHERS WITHOUT LIMITATION IN ANY AND ALL MEDIA NOW KNOWN OR HEREAFTER DEVELOPED, THROUGHOUT THE WORLD IN PERPETUITY FOR ANY PURPOSE WITHOUT COMPENSATION, PERMISSION OR NOTIFICATION TO ENTRANT OR ANY THIRD PARTY. ENTRANT HEREBY GRANTS IMK and BB A ROYALTY FREE, IRREVOCABLE, AND WORLDWIDE, IN PERPETUITY LICENSE TO USE THE MATERIALS IN ANY FORM OR FORMAT AND TO MODIFY THE SAME, AND ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT IF IMK DOES USE THE MATERIALS (WHETHER OR NOT ENTRANT IS DECLARED THE WINNER OF THE CONTEST), ENTRANT SHALL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY CREDIT, CONSIDERATION, NOTICE OR PAYMENTS OF ANY KIND.
